This weekend we see the Gospel from John 9:1-41, Jesus heals a man blind from birth. The question of, can someone be blind because of their sin or that of their family is asked. Fr. Christian speaks about spiritual blindness, but how many times has our spiritual blindness been passed to our children or family members by what we say or do? Especially in these times of fear and trouble in our world. We are the teachers of our families. We are making a future of love or hate, which future do you want? I think of this song in the movie South Pacific, which talks about being taught to be blinded by hate. My God give us the spiritual strength to know when we are spreading our blindness to others and to change our ways!

And may God Bless you all, in these times of trial.

In the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit. Amen.

Archbishop Kurtz has asked Until further notice All Masses at Incarnation Parish and sounding Parishes be cancelled. This will include all classes and activities around lent.

The Archdiocese posted:

In light of yesterday’s guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, Archbishop Kurtz is calling upon all priests to suspend the public celebration of the Eucharist, effective immediately and until further notice.

In his message to priests, Archbishop noted his conversations with pastors over the weekend. Pastors communicated to him both the concern of those parishioners who attended Mass as well as the great consolation that the Eucharist provides for so many.

Archbishop asked pastors to communicate to the faithful options to assist them during these difficult days, such as Mass of the Air and the recitation of the Holy Rosary.
